"Statistics becoming Information"
Bases for regional analysing, planning and public administration.
This site is for Østfold fylkeskommune (Østfold County Council) and Fylkesmannen I Østfold (The County Governor in Østfold) to present statistics and basic interpretation regarding the Community of the Østfold geographical region. Our contribution to the Regional development is to deliver convenient and relevant information about the society by using statistics, trend descriptions, measuring opinion, and basic interpretation. We keep track of the public debate concerning the regional community and public governing. We find and present the foundation and develop the information in cooperation and trough dialog with our customers. Our goal is to target management information and basis for the decisions to the municipalities and their elected representatives and employees. In addition to this, we offer service and help to public administration on all levels, Østfold's institutions for education and research, and to the private businesses throughout the Region.
